Pupil Premium and Recovery Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It's designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better, and close the gap between them and their peers.

In the 2023-2024 financial year, schools will receive £1,455 for each pupil registered as eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years.

Schools maintained by the local authority must publish their strategy for using the pupil premium on their website. Below, you can click on the links to find out how our Pupil Premium funding has been spent in previous years and how we plan to spend this money this year.

The Pupil Premium Strategy documents also include plans for how the Recovery Premium will be spent.
