Housekeeper (Cleaner)

Hours: 15 hours per week x 44 weeks per year (term time plus 6 weeks).  

Salary: Grade 3 (approx. £7,500 gross)

Brewster Avenue Infant School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper join our friendly staff. This new role will complement the work of our existing cleaners and site maintenance support teams.

The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the tidiness, presentation and smooth running of the school building and outdoor areas.  

Hours are 7.30 - 10.30am in term time but can be altered during school holidays if of benefit to the school and post-holder.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic about working in a school environment
  • Has the physical fitness appropriate to the job role, including the ability to lift and carry equipment from place to place
  • Is trustworthy and responsible
  • Is reliable, with good time keeping
  • Is committed to contribute positively to the staff team
  • Is willing to undertake further training relevant to the role
